Why New Orleans? It’s simple. We LOVE it! When our family first discovered New Orleans, the city was captivating.
She immediately became the piece of us we had no clue was actually missing. The city is filled with the things we hold dear; really good music, food and drink shared with loved ones, celebrated traditions, human connection and cultural diversity.
To have our Tasting room at Walnut Ridge modeled after the historic Lafitte’s Blacksmith Shop located in the French Quarter is the cherry on top! There’s something about New Orleans that makes us think of life being lived to its fullest. We would be over the moon to have YOU join us to experience this city that is full of energy and full of Life.
About Our Guide
Cassandra is the founder and lead guide for Soul of NOLA, a company she started 8 years ago. Her desire is to share the Crescent City in an authentic and unscripted way!
Cassandra grew up traveling and came to New Orleans to go to college. Later, her own curiosity led her to study the history, cuisine, and volunteer at a historic home in the French Quarter. She began to see a need for quality tours and experiences that enabled visitors to dig in deep to the unique culture of New Orleans. Soul of NOLA was born in 2014.
Our family discovered Cassandra in the recent years and have now experienced multiple tours with her. Our craving to share NOLA with friends and family through her guidance led to Soul of NOLA and Walnut Ridge partnering to launch “NOLA in November”. Our inaugural trip in 2022 was a huge success and the countdown began to bring the experience to friends of Walnut Ridge in 2023.
